Sonja Sorvola
 

My name is Sonja Sorvola and I am a certified yoga teacher and movement coach based in London. My background is in the performing arts with over 15 years of experience as an actor, director, and choreographer. I trained as a dancer at The Finnish National Opera Ballet School and got my Master’s degree in acting at East 15 Acting School in London. Since 2004, I have been teaching various dance and movement techniques both in academic and extracurricular contexts. Regular yoga practice has been pivotal to my own wellbeing for almost twenty years and in 2018, I did my 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa, followed by further studies in Yin Yoga, prenatal, restorative, and trauma-informed practices. I like to integrate applied neuroscience for pain management and to deepen my understanding of holistic wellbeing, I am currently training to become a Gestalt psychotherapist.
